With G20 Seoul Summit less than a month away, the President held a luncheon for 80 journalists from around the world, including writers for the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Reuters at the Cheong Wa Dae guest house.
The President made several announcements, including a list of key agenda items to be pursued at the summit, such as the G20 Framework, reform of global financial institutions and regulations, and development issues.
The President also expressed his concerns for security in the region in light of recent North Korean events.
"This is the first time an event of this scale has been held for journalists at the Blue House", representatives from Cheong Wa Dae said.
The President had previously promised to invite journalists to Cheong Wa Dae on a visit to the Seoul Foreign Correspondents' Club in 2008.
The President has begun full-scale preparations for chairing the G-20 Summit, which will take place in less than a month. The President had previously received reports from the G-20 preparation committee twice a month, but to ensure success, reports are now being filed every day
