The World Automotive History Hall is put on by the good folks at the World Automobile Jeju Museum, a collection of classic cars down south on Jeju Island. They have cars from all eras, from the first diesel-powered car in 1886 to the Hillman Straight 8 in 1928, to the Delorean DMC 12, built in 1981. Not all of the cars from the Museum are at the exhibit here in the Seoul Motor Show, but they do have the Hillman Straight 8 sitting near the entrance. They also have an original Model T Ford, and the Delorean sitting right there in the middle, painted yellow.
Most impressive from a personal standpoint, they have the Benz 300D, a gangster car if there ever was one. It was also used as the official German government car from 1960 to 1966, a symbol of power if there ever was one. Unfortunately one cannot test drive the cars, but standing there and staring at them is almost as good.저작권자 © Korea IT Times 무단전재 및 재배포 금지
