Sitting in the same position for many hours often leaves one's neck stiff or creates pain in the shoulders. Also, with too much computer work, one may experience numbing of his or her wrists. To help reduce such symptoms and restore energy among employees, Merck made a stretching video for Merck employees.
The video was completed at the end of July. The exercise, which helps loosen up the muscles on the neck, shoulders, arms and the back, lasts six minutes and is easy to do regardless of place. The exercise was implemented with video delivery ceremony at Poseung on October 18, at Seoul on October 21. The program is expected to relieve fatigue and improve work efficiency and health.
