Shanghai, November 3, the Asia Electronic Expo Shanghai 2010 (AEES2010) was kicked off on a high note. So many people visited the AEES 2010 event in hopes to be some of the first people to see all the new technologies and products that will be hitting the market soon.

With the start of the opening ceremony, Jeon Sanghwon, president of KEA delivered the opening speech on behalf of the 5 member organizations of AEES.

He welcomed all the visitors to the AEES 2010 event and said, "Asia has become the central region for the world's electronics industry and the market is continuing to grow in size and significance day by day. Particularly regarding the alliance of electronics organizations for the five Asian countries: China, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong and Korea, they have organized joint exhibitions as of 2004 in order to cooperate and promote Asia's electronics industry.

He continued, "As of recently, the Asian electronics industry is expected to take a leading role in the world market. To enhance our competitive edge in the global market, we need to continue promoting our Asian values to the rest of the world."

Jeon then added, "We are anticipating the welcoming of more visitors than ever. I'm very pleased to see the 11% increase in the scale of the exhibition compared to last year."

The cutting edge ceremony then continued and was put on by organizers from five countries.

Nine Muses, Korean pop-idol group performing at the AEES 2010

After the opening ceremony, a bustling crowd moved toward the Korean Pavilion. The Korean pop-idol group, Nine Muses started to amuse the visitors with their grand performance. A taekwondo demonstration immediately followed.

All visitors loved looking around at all the booths to see the advanced technologies available. "It is fascinating to see all the products displayed at the booths. I knew Korea was famous for efficient and advanced technologies, but I didn't know they had this much," a visitor from China said.

In short, it was a successful start for the Korean Pavilion to show what they've got.
