There are millions of users that use certain Facebook applications daily. According to AppData, Farmville was overtaken by Phrases on Wednesday as the top application on Facebook. That ends a 15-month run that saw Farmville as the top application on Facebook. Phrases had 54.4 million users over the past month, while Farmville had 53.9 million users.

In March of this year, Farmville reached an all-time high of 83.8 million users. Zynga, the company that brought about Farmville, has seen a decline in net application usage ever since setting the record. However, Zynga is still by far Facebook's largest developer.

Other applications they have on Facebook include Texas HoldEm Poker, Frontierville and Mafia Wars, which are ranked third, fourth and fifth respectively as Facebook's top applications.

Phrases is an application that allows Facebook users to post quotes, images and quizzes on their Facebook news feed. Meanwhile, Farmville is a Facebook application game with the concept of a virtual farm. In this game, users tend to their virtual farm as well as maintain it.

Farmville still holds the top spot for daily users. 16.6 million people visit the Facebook application daily. Windows Live Messenger is ranked 2nd in daily application usage with 9.8 million visitors daily.
