Korea IT Times recently had the pleasure interviewing Stanley Yang, CEO of
NeuroSky, Inc. to ask Mr Yang to tell us about his upcoming visit
to Korea, his company and his feelings about the Korean market for his company's products.
What follows is the result of that dialog.
Korea IT Times: Please describe for us the nature of your business.
SY: NeuroSky was founded in 2004. Our business is Consumer Bio-Sensing Devices for human to machine interface. We are a ventured backed privately held company, with 50 employees, headquartered in San Jose, California in the Silicon Valley.

Korea IT Times: Can you provide some biographical information for the story
SY: I became Chief Executive Officer of NeuroSky, Inc., a bio-sensor company in Silicon Valley, California, in 2005. NeuroSky has developed a revolutionary non-invasive neural communication sensor that converts brainwaves and other bio-signals into electronic signals for communication and control of electronic devices, consoles, and computers. Prior to NeuroSky, I served as Sr. Vice President of Business Development and CFO at Sage-N Research, Inc., developing super computing systems for proteomics applications. In 1997, I co-founded and served as President & CEO of Triscend Corpora-tion, a configurable system-on-chip IC company. Triscend was acquired by Xilinx, Inc. in March of 2004. Prior to Triscend I spent 11 years working at Xilinx, Inc. in various engineering and management positions.

SY: Grounded in over 60 years of medical research, NeuroSky's technology has taken proven medical EEG (electroencephalograph)technology, and evolved it for application to the mass market by making it more user-friendly and cost-effective. Technological innovations include significant advancements in electrical noise reduction, dry-sensor development (rather than requiring a wet conductive gel), substantial "cost engineering" (reducing the price), and enabling the wearer to use it outside of a lab (without the assistance of a doctor). With such universal innovation, NeuroSky's games and other applications are sure to have an impact in a variety of arenas in the coming years.
Korea IT Times: That sounds very exciting. I'm sure that many people will have an interest in what you have in your technology and how you make an business relations with Korean companies. Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions and we look forward to meeting you again.
SY:You are most welcome.
