Many people's values have long shifted from quantity - simply having something to eat, wear, and sleep in - to quality: better eating, clothing, and sleeping. With the well-being fervor, an increasing number of consumers are seeking more healthy and beautiful life, which, as a result, explains the success of weight-loss clinics and fitness-related industries even during the economic downturn.
Following this trend, MiniMe Dream (chkimpace@yahoo.co.kr) recently launched an innovative contactless 3D image scanning system called Transcan. This system, specially designed for fashion, obesity clinic, health and other related businesses, photographs the entire human body in only a tenth of a second, creating what could be called a customer's "digital twin." Transcan recognizes and subsequently generates image of a whole body that appears on the monitor, before analyzing the height, circumference, and body composition based on realistic figures, using various software applications, and then outputs the assorted data.
The system automatically provides optimum diet and exercise information, and is also fast as well as harmless for human body since it does not use laser.
