Movies can be entertaining to the point where people will watch it a second time or even more. A professor from Tel Aviv University in Israel gives viewers more reason to watch movies again without seeing the same plot.

A program known as "Insplit" gives the audience control over what they see. It pinpoints places in a film in which the direction could be changed. Depending on the audience's mood, it could choose one way over the other and leave the audience feeling satisfied with its decision.

Nitzan Ben Shaul, the professor who created this pilot feature for films, enables viewers at crucial moments in the film to help guide the characters to their destiny. While watching, it is an option to go back and view what would have happened if the other option was chosen. However, the audience could just watch it again and experience a 'new' film just by choosing different options.

The film, Turbulence, is currently a film that contains this technology. Depending on the decisions of the viewers, the film could be anywhere from an hour to two hours long. Basically, there are several hours of options to view and the movie experience would never be the same.

This tool mimics the experience many had as children with the books that allowed us to drive the story in any way we desire. It takes the type of fun we had from it but gives us the enjoyment of watching it in action. As many say, nothing is better than seeing something by themselves.

The creator of this program has news for the movie making lovers; it will release this tool in February on its website so others could create highly interactive films. Although it is the basic tool, an advanced program will also be available named "Insplit Pro".
