Since HD DVD is officially dead, one would expect prices for Blu-ray players to drop. The Samsung BD-P1500 is a great example of a Blu-ray player priced to compete. Priced at $400USD along with features like a USB port, LAN connectivity and standard hi-def outputs, the Sony PlayStation3 may finally have some competition as a Blu-ray player for the masses.
