
South Koreas SK Engineering & Construction said on Sunday that it had signed deals worth $1.9bn with Saudi Arabias Aramco for the state oil giants project to build the kingdoms largest gas plant Wasit. In late January, Aramco awarded deals to two South Korean firms, SK E&C and Samsung Engineering , but did not give a value for the deals.
Later, industry sources told Reuters that three contracts SK E&C won were worth around $1.9bn won. SK added in a statement that the construction period would be within 38 months, ending in 2014.
