
The 2011 edition of Electrical Building Technology Guangzhou, taking place 9 - 12 June at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou, China, will be double the size of the 2010 show.
Supporting China's fast growing "green" building technology market by focussing on the building and home automation and electrical engineering sectors, Electrical Building Technology Guangzhou will offer 10,000 sqm of exhibition space. Currently nearly 200 exhibitors from nine countries and regions have signed up for the show.
Mr Richard Li, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt in China said: "China's commercial and residential building industry is rapidly moving towards "green" energy-efficiency with an emphasis on integrated building and home automation for greater comfort, safety and efficiency. This is reflected in the increased scale of this year's show which is bringing together key players in China's commercial and residential building industry as well as attracting planners, contractors, architects, engineers and system integrators from around the world."
Global brands show their support for Electrical Building Technology Guangzhou
Making a return appearance at the show will be American companies Crestron Electronics, Echelon Technology and Easeic Sci-Tech together with DAE Instrument (Taiwan) and Beckhoff Automation, Dynalite (Australia), Jinli (China) and Wieland Electric (Germany). New exhibitors include ABB China (Switzerland), A. Jung GmbH (Germany), ELKO EP s.r.o. (Czech Republic), LonMark International (USA) and French companies Schneider Electric, TCL-Legrand and Vity Technology as well as Uni Broad (China).
First time exhibitor Schneider Electric is a global specialist in energy management which includes smart home systems. The company will present its new DALI Control System, Zigbee Ezinstall Lighting Control System and Wiser Home Control System at the show. Mr Shu Zhongming, Marketing / ECS & VDI Product Manager said: "Electrical Building Technology Guangzhou has the right target visitor for our company. We are also impressed by the effectiveness of the previous exhibition and that this year's show is attracting premium brands. The show will be a good opportunity for us to enhance our brand image and gain sales leads."
Also exhibiting for the first time is home automation specialist Vity Technology. Mr Kevin Wong, Senior Sales Manager said: "Due to the fast development of mainland China, quality of life is becoming more desired by people from the mid-level class and above. They prefer a high-end design for their home, and automation is one of the main components. We already have offices and distributors and are seeking other platforms to gain more brand exposure. Electrical Building Technology Guangzhou is one of the most important and influential shows in mainland China and there are many famous manufacturers who will join the show so it is a good chance for our company to expose itself to the worldwide industry."
ELKO EP s.r.o. from the Czech Republic will launch their RFID wireless communication system and iNELS, a bus-based intelligent wires system to the China market. Mr Roy Lu, the company's Sales Manager for Asia said his company hoped to find partners at the show. Company Product Manager Mr Boris Kamenicky added: "Secondly, as an influential exhibition in its field, participating in such a show will increase our brand awareness."

Value-added seminar programmes enhance networking and technology exchange
Various industry seminars will be organised offering the latest market news and developments as well as networking opportunities. Mr Richard Li commented: "These events provide added value for visitors and exhibitors by offering a platform for increased market intelligence and a forum for establishing strategic partnerships with industry counterparts."
- The Electrical Building Technology Symposium 2011, jointly-organised by the Guangdong Association of Automation, will offer a series of seminars featuring the hot topics in building technology and automation development.
- KNX Workshop focuses on the essential building technology standard and the latest worldwide development. The KNX Association is one of the leaders in developing and promoting the worldwide standard for Home and Building Control. This is their second year of support to the show.
- Product Presentations offer an opportunity to network with industrial suppliers and partners. It is a specialised platform which showcases the latest information and products from key industry exhibitors.
Electrical Building Technology Guangzhou is held concurrently with Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, Asia's biggest lighting event. Both exhibitions are part of Messe Frankfurt's architecture and technology shows, headed by the biennial Light+Building event in Frankfurt.
