Groupon kills ads on Donald Trump’s Apprentice website
Chicago Web site Groupon says it won't run ads on "The Apprentice" TV show amid controversy over the political views of its star Donald Trump.

Julie Mossler, a spokeswoman for Internet coupon site Groupon, said the company has never sponsored Trump's show and never will for the same reason it doesn't offer deals on "guns or abortions," the Chicago Tribune reported Friday. "This isn't a political statement," Mossler said. "It's avoiding intentionally upsetting a segment of our customers."

Trump says he is considering running for president as a Republican and has been part of an ongoing movement questioning the citizenship of President Obama, who has provided two copies of his birth certificate showing Honolulu as his place of birth.
