
President Lee Myung-bak arrived in Copenhagen, Denmark for a state visit and luncheon with Danish Crown Prince Frederik and with top business officials on May 11. At the luncheon, Lee expressed spoke of future collaboration on green growth between the two countries, noting plans to sign a memorandum of understanding between Danish and Korean companies in the field and to form strategic partnerships.
In addition, Lee also said that he looks forward to development and expansion of trade and investment when the Korea-EU FTA takes effect. Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark, said that green growth is important not only the two nations, but to the entire world.
Ditlev Engel, President and CEO of Vestas, Carsten Bjerg, President and CEO of Grundfos and Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, President and CEO of LEGO, showed great interest in the Korea-EU FTA and cooperation in green growth at the luncheon meeting.
