RS Components (RS) one of the largest high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products and the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), has received a "Special Achievement Award" for catalog distributors from Electronics Supply & Manufacturing-China (ESM-China) in conjunction with its 11 th Annual Electronic Components Distributor Survey.
This is the third consecutive year that RS has received the award, which further solidifies the company's lead as the number one high service electronics distributor and distributor of choice in China and the Asia Pacific region. The award is presented to top electronics distributors as voted for by Chinese engineering professionals, including corporate, purchasing and procurement managers from China's electronics manufacturers.
Apart from being the trusted and reliable source for some 1.6 million engineers and procurement specialists worldwide, RS continues to be the preferred distributor of suppliers across the globe, with an established footprint in 32 countries and a strong network of distributors in a further 37 countries .
With China as one of the key growth markets for RS in the region, the company has recently enhanced its product and service offering to customers through the opening of a new warehouse in Shanghai. The warehouse doubled the size of the original to 4,942 sqm and will provide an extensive and fully stocked inventory of over 135,000 product lines. It is strategically located at Shanghai's only free trade zone, the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone.
