KEA is speeding up its pace towards Global KES 2011. On 7th July, KEA participated in Asian Electronics Exhibitors Cooperation Conference (AEECC) to discuss related issues such as international cooperation for promoting exhibitions and supporting buyers.
Celebrating its 15th year, major exhibitors from China, Japan,Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Korea gathered and discussed various cooperation agendas including the exhibition schedule and banner and catalog advertisement.
With the recent global economic shift towards Asia, electronic exhibitions in Asia are getting more attention than ever before. Therefore, on this year's conference, the Japanese post-earthquake economy and growing international demands for Korean and Hong Kong products were the major discussion topics. It is said that this year's conference confirmed that the Korea Electronics Exhibition's international status is raising as a major exhibition in Asia.
KES2011, the biggest electronics exhibition in Korea, will be held from the 12th to the 15th of October with the theme of Be Smart to showcase the new post-industrial revolution, called the Smart Generation. Following last year's exhibition, smart devices, 3D, Green IT, convergence solutions, digital broadcasts, and LED will be presented in a more complete way. Especially, software including applications and cloud computing will be presented as key elements to highlight its importance in the Smart Generation. KES 2011 organization committee members visited Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, China, and Taiwan to attract buyers for the better exhibition. As a result, more than a thousand companies from thirty countries are going to have booths in the exhibition center (53,541M). It is expected to be a foothold for KES to become a global exhibition.
KEA expects a comprehensive and fruitful exhibition including leading products such as cell phones, semiconductors and displays. Next-generation convergence solutions such as wearable computing, green IT, educational digital kits, and e-health will be open for the public to experience. Furthermore, the exhibition will offer insights for future technology trends and investment for CEOs.
Starting from vacuum tube radios through cassette players, color TV, and finally to semiconductors and mobile phones, KES has been the passage to the world for the Korean electronics industry, which accounts for more than thirty percent of Korea's exports. It is not too much to say that KES has walked along with Korea's 52 years of electronics history as it turns 42 years old this year. With this year's global electronics exhibition, KES will go one more step forward.
