The Russell Asia Index (2.5%) reflected the strongest returns for the month of July followed by the Russell Asia Pacific Index (1.9%) and the Russell Asia Pacific ex-Japan Index (1.0%). Conversely, the Russell Europe Index and the Russell Latin America Index reflected the lowest returns of -3.2%.
In regards to sector performance across the Russell Global Index, the energy sector outperformed all others, posting 0.6% for the month of July, followed by the consumer staples sector (0.1%). The producer durables sector (-4.2%) was lowest performing sector, trailed by the financial services sector (-3.0%) and utilities and health care sectors, which each reflected returns of -1.6% for the same time period.
