TABLSKIN Company (www.tablskin.com) said on September 1 that it launched new 'TABLSKIN,' a keyboard accessory that can be used for both iPad 1 and 2, replacing attachable keyboards.
The 'TABLSKIN 2.0' version is an economical accessory for iPads, targeted at consumers who want to type letters quickly and precisely but who find existing attachable keyboards burdensome.
President Park Woo-sung of TABLSKIN Company said, "The new product is a thin (1.5mm) and light (9g) plastic key-skin. When you put it on the screen of an iPad, it enables users to type letters without looking at it as each key button of the virtual keyboard can be distinguished by tactile sense."
Supported by the wide variety of tablet PCs, including iPad2, the market for tablet accessories shows steep growth. Particularly, an increasing number of keyboard accessories needed for using tablet PCs for business purposes are being introduced as companies are building 'paperless office' environments based on tablet PCs.
Though many companies provide a variety of attachable keyboards to meet increasing demand, consumers have been criticizing that they can hardly find a difference in their design and functions, they are inconvenient to carry due to heavy weight and bulkiness, and prices are high.
Having improved these shortcomings, the 'TABLSKIN 2.0' is protected by patent rights in 12 countries, including the United States, Japan and Germany, attracting keen attention from consumers across the world.
Han Soo-ho, Head of Development Team at TABLSKIN Company, said, "The company will launch new TABLSKIN products for Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.9 of Samsung Electronics in the latter part of this year."
