Sonicworld (CEO Su-Ho Choi), a medical device manufacturer,is at the center of the spotlight with the whole body exercise device called SONIX.SONIX, which has been released last February, utilizes the principle of sound speaker and electromagnetic technology of Sonicworld to generate sound wave vibration of 3~50Hz. Whilst the previous product generated complex vibration by fast rotation of the motor, SONIX is designed to generate high-precision low-frequency sonic wave to deliver to the human body.

SONIX allows exercises on whole body or on focused parts while standing, perfect for people these days that are too busy to make time for exercises. Especially, it allows for anaerobic exercise and aerobic exercise at the same time in a limited small space, leading to its popularity.

The non-arbitrary sound wave vibration exercise, when carried out side by side with the existing weight training, increases the maximum muscular strength by 30% or more, in turn reducing the training period 85% and preventing injuries that may occur during exercises. Also, it stimulates fine inner muscles that are difficult to exercise normally, and the induced quick stretching effect and muscle fatigue recovery provides the optimal exercise effect, and strengthened muscular strength, increased bone density, augmented growth hormones, improved blood circulation and lymph circulation, and enhanced posture and sense of balance can be achieved.

On the other hand, Sonicworld has recently partnered with Dongshin University and Chonbuk National University and is in the process of developing ADL (activities of daily living) enhancement exercise device through 3D VIBRATE (vibrating plates) and virtual reality contents. Selected for the small/mid-sized business technology innovation development project in 2011, Sonicworld will be executing related project for 2 years from the last June 1st up to May 2013, and plans to develop various exercise contents and rehabilitation exercise program.
