October 12, Korean companies can no longer ignore the emergence of the Russian market. While large companies such as Samsung and LG have dedicated resources, and staff to interfacing with and with in the country, this market can should be actively explored by small and midsize business and trade organizations.

Russia has long been dominated by Chinese goods, which are no longer considered to be suitable to the consumers, citing safety concerns and quality control. The Association of Trading Companies and Manufacturers of Consumer Electronics and Computer Equipment (RATEK), was established, In order to address this and improve the situation in the electronics market. Their goal is to “to create a well-formed, organized and effective home industry of electronic goods and appliances.”

Representing RATEK, Anton Guskov, The Director of Public Relations, is attending the 2011 KES. On his third visit to KES, “he is interesting in assessing the quality of, everything from components, to consumer appliances, while at the same time building relationships with trade organizations and businesses.”
