AMD Introduces Open-source Virtualization Solution Based on AMD64 at Linux World. AMD Shows off Advanced AMD 64-bit Technology by Demon-strating its AMD Opteron Dual Core On Feb. 17, 2005 in Seoul, AMD announced it would apply an open source virtualization package to AMD64 technology by cooperating with XenSource, Inc. the technical developer of virtualization. AMD debuted its 64-bit server virtualization solution based on x86 to the public at the Linux World conference and expo held in Boston. With these developments in mind, AMD displayed its advanced AMD 64-bit technical capability by demonstrating the AMD Opteron AMD Dual Core at Hewlett Packard and Sun Microsystems workstation at Linux World.
