IITPA (Incheon ICT Industry Promotion Agency, President Cho Sung-kap) has established the Incheon Smart Work Center (ISWC). The opening ceremony was held on the 1st of November, 2011. The new ISWC office is on the 17th floor of the Incheon IT Tower. It has 20 seats for public officials and 5 seats for private companies. The area for private companies is for the resident and guest companies of the Incheon IT Tower.
Companies which want to use the ISWC, can make a reservation over the phone at 032-250-2130 or visit the Smart Work Center website at www.smartwork.go.kr. A plotter, printer and color copier are available for use, and ISWC also provides a computer room and a lounge. The Ministry of Public Administration and Security (MOPAS) designs and establishs plans for smart work centers. MOPAS will build smart work places for remote working for 30% of Korean public officials in the future. They have built two smart work centers (SWC) in 2010 and they will have built 8 more Smart work Centers by the end of 2011 including ISWC. MOPAS is aiming to establish a total 50 of SWC by 2015. Area Capitals will be given priority for building SWC, as MOPAS will expand the service to other parts of the country. MOPAS has a plan for integrating established SWCs and planned SWCs for managing efficiency.
