BEIJING, CHINA --- The Beijing International Building Technology Show will make its debut 2 – 4 April 2012 at the New China International Exhibition Center, Beijing, China, to support China’s fast-growing trend for energy-saving, comfortable, safe and sustainable buildings.

“With Beijing International Building Technology, we are expanding the portfolio of events for intelligent building-services technology and energy efficiency in Asia and thus strengthening our position in one of the world’s most important economic and growth regions“, says Wolfgang Marzin, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Messe Frankfurt.

The new exhibition will be organized by the Trade Development Bureau of Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Exhibition Co Ltd.

The Beijing International Building Technology show is the sister event of the successful Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology exhibition and is expected to cover a gross area of 15,000 sqm.

Mr. Richard Li, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt in China said: “With the successful experience gained with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology, and an understanding of China’s northern construction market, we are confident that the exhibition will become a high-quality platform that caters to the fast-growing market needs in the ‘Intelligent Green Building’ sector.”

Three thematic zones support government policy

China’s 12th Five-Year Plan requires Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei to undertake large scale urban construction projects to build a ‘Capital Economic Circle’ and this is stimulating demand for lighting control systems and equipment, intelligent building systems and electrical engineering products. As a result, there are many opportunities for companies to expand their business networks in northern China’s fast-growing construction market.

Furthermore, as Beijing will raise the energy-saving standard to 75 percent for new and renovation residential construction projects, and given that electricity accounts for 70 to 90 percent of energy consumption in which lighting might be up to 50 percent, demand for building automation systems and electrical energy-efficiency products is rising.

In support of government policy and to meet market demand for ‘Intelligent Green Building’ related products, equipment and systems, the Beijing International Building Technology show will be divided into three themed zones:

Intelligent building and home automation

• Intelligent building systems

• Security systems and access control systems

• Audio and video systems

• Air-conditioning and cooling systems

• Energy management systems

• System integration

• Generic cabling systems

• Remote control systems

Electrical engineering

• Electrical accessories and materials

• Electrical supply and electrical products

• Power supply, instruments gauges and tools

• Electrical energy-efficiency modification equipment

• Control equipment, meter and monitoring and dimmer switches

• Sockets and switches

• Lightning protection systems and equipment

Lighting control systems and equipment

• Energy-saving management systems

• Lighting applications, including LED / OLED technical applications

Synergy with concurrent ISH China & CIHE Show benefits both exhibitors and visitors

The Beijing International Building Technology Show will be held concurrently with ISH China and CIHE, the China International Trade Fair for Sanitation, Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning. The two exhibitions will integrate innovative products and technologies, including building automation systems, lighting and LED, ventilation, air-conditioning, sanitation and solar thermal energy. With the objective of promoting an energy-saving, comfortable, safe and sustainable environment, the fair will be the largest ‘Intelligent Green Building’ platform in northern China.

Commenting on the synergy between the Beijing International Building Technology show and ISH China and CIHE, Mr Li said: “On one hand, this will provide visitors with a platform for intelligent and green building solutions, and on the other, exhibitors will gain the chance to expand their target visitor groups. This is a win-win situation for everyone.”

The gross area of the two exhibitions will be more than 80,000 sqm and is estimated that these events will attract over 1,300 exhibitors and 50,000 professional visitors, including building owners, property developers, designers, system integrators, distributors and government project managers.

The Beijing International Building Technology show is part of Messe Frankfurt’s building technology shows which are headed by the biennial ISH, the world’s leading trade fair for sanitary, heating and air-conditioning and the Light+Building event held in Frankfurt, Germany.
