SEOUL, KOREA --- The rapid growth of the open market characterized by the iPhone, App Store, Google, and Android Market, along with the development of smartphone and tablet PC’s, has become a central force that leads and determines the future of business, revolutionizing the age of the mobile industry.

Change in the mobile culture is also leading to change in the mobile economy creating an innovative paradigm that is transforming the world by producing, distributing, and consuming diverse information.
Based in Dohwadong, Namgu, Incheon, Incheon IT Center houses Just Idea, one of Korea’s top mobile service providers that combined storytelling contents related to culture and tourism with ICT (Information & Communication Technology) led by CEO Choi Jaeik. Mr. Choi already began producing and distributing storytelling audio contents for mobile devices in 2006, three years before iPhone was released in Korea, and is now providing application services for iPhone and Android phones by integrating storytelling contents to various mobile technologies.
The company’s main applications include “T-BUD”, a mobile travel buddy, “Shilla, Baekje, and Gaya History Trip,” the historical city tour series by Korea Tourist Service, museum apps for National Museum of Korea and Gyeongju, Buyeo, and Gaya museums, and other places like Incheon Municipal Museum, Visit Gyeongbuk-Korea, Changwon Tour, and Dulraegil of Bukhansan.

The mobile services of Just Idea embraced Intelligent Virtual Reality (IVR), which was developed by the company through their distinguished technology introducing action app-toon, smart-on shop, and so forth. This IVR service, in particular, has been developed and made available one year before Google’s Art Project or Daum’s Smart View. Furthermore, the company commercialized storytelling audio contents for mobile devices for the first time in the world in the culture and tourism fields, and, by using photo drama and animation techniques, they have established themselves as the top mobile service provider of multimedia contents in Korea.
Professional storytellers, leading voice actors, as well as technicians and a studio with equipment to produce various broadcasting and promotional videos allow Just Idea to dub films and animations and create various educational contents on their own.
Meanwhile, the company is also developing the official application – a ‘hybrid app’ linking smartphone app and mobile web for the 2012 World Conservation Congress and UNESCO World Heritage together with the other international organizations and government institutions.
After building a research institute for culture and tourism storytelling in March in association with Incheon Jaeneung College, Just Idea now focuses on researching and developing storytelling education and contents while preparing for many other projects, for example, resolving youth unemployment and fostering foreign storytellers among multicultural families.
In many different fields, mobile contents are becoming an indicator of business competence. Only those who prepare for the mobile age can survive and grab the opportunity to grow further. Aiming to create the best culture and tourism mobile contents in the world, Just Idea is gathering force to move towards greater advancements.
