Although there is one Korean company producing PowerMax ropes in an overseas factory, DSR Wire Corp. is the first to make PowerMax ropes in Korea, and there are only five companies in the world that manufacture PowerMax ropes varying from 80mm to 200mm in diameter. Apart from the thickness, the length plays an essential part of the ropes as they are used for developing submarine oilfield. IT wires and OT wires are also included in the main products of DSR Wire Corp. that require high technology. Given the increasing importance of energy, PowerMax ropes for floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) and bridge cable will lead the company’s future growth.
As an affiliate of DSR Wire Corp., DSR Corp. manufactures shipping ropes, stainless wires, as well as SuperMax with ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.
