SEOUL, KOREA — Lim Sung-nam, Special Representative for the Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, will visit Moscow on January 8-10 for a consultation with his Russian counterpart.
Special Representative Lim and Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister and new head delegate to the Six-party Talks, Igor Morgulov, will exchange views on the situation on the Korean Peninsula in the wake of the death of North Korea’s former Chairman Kim Jong-il. Their meeting will also discuss ways to address the North Korean nuclear issue, including the resumption of the Talks.
Special Representative Lim also plans to meet with Russia’s former Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov and other Russian experts on the Korean Peninsula to exchange views on North Korea and its nuclear issue.
