One of the world’s most popular phones, the Android, now features chrome. Chrome for android includes the desktop version of the V8 JavaScript engine and allows users to multitask. You can now listen to youtube and check your facebook account simultaneously! It also shuts out plug-ins such as Adobe Systems’ Flash Player.
Google expects the introduction of the chrome will highly increase their customers’ internet browsing. Chrome has over 150 million users around the globe and is said to be the second most popular open course browser. Chrome will only be featured on the 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich version of the Android. Though non-users of the latest Android may have a trial period, a Google spokesperson said it hoped to release versions of this system, including Apple’s iOS for iPhones. This new phone is set to be available in the spring.
