After months of speculation, the device that we have all been anticipating is here; Apple’s new iPad HD.
Apple introduced its latest edition of the iPad on Wednesday, featuring a Full HD display with 3.1 million pixels and a supercharged new processor. The device will be available on March 16 and priced from USD 499 - 829, the same price as the iPad 2. The new iPad will be available in the US, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland and Japan. A week later, it will go on sale in 25 more countries.
The tablet will be powered by a super fast quad-core A5x chip, putting Apple's tablet ahead of competitors such as Samsung. Other features include dictation; by speaking into a microphone, your words will be transcribed on the screen.

Tim Cook, Apple's new CEO and Steve Jobs' chosen successor stated "You are going to see a lot more of this kind of innovation. We are just getting started." Cook also made his case with some of Apple’s Statistics:
Apple has sold 172 million “post-PC devices,” which make up 76% of revenues. It’s not clear if this figure includes iPods.
There have been 25 billion downloads from Apple’s App Store. There are now 100 million customers on iCloud. The App Store has 585,000 apps. There are 200,000-plus iPad apps. Some 15.4 million iPads were sold in Q4 2011. HP shipped 15.1 million PCs over that time; number two Lenovo shipped 13 million.
The iPad is the most successful tech product since the launch of the first iPad in 2010. It has sold over 55 million units, and analysts expect it to top 100 million by the end of this year.
