WASHINGTON, USA – President Barack Obama is nominating Dartmouth College President Jim Yong Kim to head the World Bank. Dr Kim is a South Korean born doctor, anthropologist and former chief of the World Health Organisation’s HIV-Aids department. The World Bank’s 25-member executive board will officially select a new president next month. But given that the U.S. has the largest percentage of the votes, Kim is expected to prevail.
