Korea Life Insurance Volunteer Services Group consists of 25,000 employees and financial planners. All employees are encouraged to devote 1% (approximately 20 hours) of their annual working hours for volunteer service activities. In the spirit of sharing and giving, many employees voluntarily donate a small portion of their monthly salary to the ‘Sarangmoa Fund’ and the company also puts up a sum equal to the amount donated by employees according to the matching grant program. The Fund raised a total of approximately 9.05 billion won in the September 2004 to June 2012.
For the education of new recruits and newly-hired financial planners, the company introduced volunteering programs. Due to these programs, they can instantly become a member of Korea Life Insurance Volunteer Services Group as soon as they joined the company.
