HOUSTON, USA —The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI) has announced this year’s winners of its awards for leaders in hospitality training and education.

Jade Okshim Hwang and Joon Hwan Park (EI’s Hospitality Education Partner (HEP) master licensee in South Korea) have been selected to receive the Educational Institute’s Lamp of Knowledge Award for Outstanding International Educator. These awards are given to individuals who demonstrate extraordinary commitment to advancing the quality of professionalism and education in the hospitality industry. They were honored at the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) Summer Summit during the AH&LA Stars of the Industry Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, June 13.
Jade Hwang, the dean of H.R. academy, briefly stated his feeling about having received the award, "At this venerable and prestigious American Hotel & Lodging Association summit, I am honored to have been awarded as the first Korean to be recognized for professionally training international standards to hotel staff for 12 years after American Hotel & Lodging Association training institute has been established in Korea. She also mentioned, “With the hotel industry ever so expanding, I will continue to do my best to foster talented people with expertise in the future.”
