Dear readers, executives and staff members of Korea IT Times, the New Year has begun with renewed hope for us all. I wish all of you bright prospects and happiness in the Year of the Dog. Last year, South Korea developed the portable Internet WiBro in the Internet field for the first time in the world and its technology was adopted as the international standard. Along with this, its terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) technology was also adopted as the European standard. Domestically, the commercial service of DMB started last year for the first time in the world, tiding over many difficulties. I think, in the course of attaining such favorable results, Korea IT Times, an IT-specialized monthly magazine, has played an important role to enhance interest and understanding of the domestic IT industry both at home and abroad by offering the nation's IT-related information and trend faithfully and properly. As the Korean minister in charge of the IT industry, I express my thanks to Korea IT Times once again. In the New Year, I wish Korea IT Times will continue heralding the nation's advanced IT industry and trend to all over the world, greatly contributing to promotion of IT exchanges and cooperation between Korea and other countries and between domestic and foreign enterprises.
