The sixth committee meeting of the Special Committee for e- Government was held on Jan. 9 at the Government Computing Center in Daejeon, south of Seoul. Prior to the meeting, the committee members spared time to inspect the main facilities of the newly furnished center and were briefed on the progress that has been made with regard to its operation as well as the building of another branch in a different location. The committee members shared their thoughts with the center's staff concerning issues standing in the running of the center, such as the lack of specialized workforce and the 'data resource surveys' on future tenants to be stationed at the center, and reassured that the committee will provide active support so that the project driven aggressively by the incumbent government can be completed with success.
