SEOUL, KOREA — Genji, Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Japanese restaurant, is pleased to present Nagoyan cusine during the month of October, including a special guest chef visit from the Nagoya Hilton from October 21st to the 28th.

During this limited time, Genji diners will be able to sample the subtle nuances of Nagoyan cuisine, made by a true master chef.  The chef will introduce the representative dishes from this region, taking diners on a gastronomic journey to this picturesque part of Japan.

Nagoya is well known for its distinct food culture with hatcho miso (a soybean paste unique to the area). Many of Nagoya's most representative dishes are miso-based, such as misokatsu (pork cutlet with miso sauce) and misonikomi udon (noodles in thick miso soup).  Other famous Nagoya foods include tebasaki (a type of yakitori), kishimen (flat udon noodles), and Nagoya cochin (a special breed of chicken).  The chef will feature a variety of Nagoya-inspired dishes that will surely whet your appetite for this regional cuisine.

Genji offers the best in Japanese dining with its new Sushi bar, impressive Teppanyaki tables, unique Tatami rooms and private dining rooms, all amidst an elegant and temporary setting.

Every year, Munich hosts the largest public festival in the world: the Oktoberfest.  People from all over the world convene in massive tents to enjoy copious quantities of German food and beer.

Capturing Oktoberfest’s merry atmosphere, Orangerie will be decorated in blue and white, the representative colors of Oktoberfest.  Adding to the ambience, the waitstaff will be dressed in traditional Oktoberfest garb.  Diners can feast on a Bavarian bounty including handmade German sausages, sauerkraut, German-style potato salad, German sausage salad and more.

Oktoberfest wouldn’t be complete without a little cheer, so drinkers can opt to add an additional KW16,000 to the regular Orangerie buffet price to enjoy unlimited quantities of draft beer, wine and soft drinks.

The Orangerie lunch buffet is priced at KW60,000 for adults and KW36,000 for children aged 12 and under.  The dinner buffet is priced at KW65,000 for adults and KW39,000 for children aged twelve and under.

Orangerie’s international buffet offers a vast array of international fare in a cheerful and open environment.  Specially designed buffet units incorporate air cooled food showcases for maximum freshness, and specialty stations feature made-to-order pasta, roast and grilled meats and local specialty noodles.  Private dining rooms are available.

For reservations or enquiries, please call Genji at (02) 317-3240 or Orangerie at (02) 317-3143.
