Korean companies plan to raise their budgets for information and technology (IT) by 16.4% this year, Knowledge Research Group (KRG) said.
Based on its survey of 152 enterprises with a sales volume of over 200 billion won (approx.$200 million), KRG said that the average IT budget of the respondents was 15.8 billion won this year, up 16.4% from 2005.
In terms of hardware, they plan to purchase PCs, servers, networks equipment and storage.
Among software, they are planning to introduce such new solutions as RFID and BPM, while making persistent investment in groupware/knowledge management, ERP and information protection.
