The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy has set the third Tuesday of every October as the "Day of Electronics." It also suggested the vision for 2015 when the nation will achieve its target of 590 trillion won in total production, $300 billion in exports, and 14% in the nation's share of the global market. In 2015, the ministry also plans to let the nation's electronics industry rank third in the world, boasting the status of digital powerhouse.
