SILICON VALLEY, USA — US Correspondent of Korea IT Times, Sam Sung-hwan Hwang conducted an interview with Seung-min Chun, CEO of M2Soft at K Tech@Silicon Valley 2012 to discuss K-Tech in Silicon Valley.

Korea IT Times (KIT): Would you tell me about the major products of M2 Soft

Chun: M2Soft took part in the K-Tech to publicize our Reporting Solution. Reporting Solution helps users easily view materials in databases. This software creates a wide variety of documents such as transcripts and resident registration papers.

KIT: What made M2Soft take part in the K-Tech

Chun: M2Soft has been exporting its products to Japan for five years. We are actively developing new markets such as China and Southeast Asia. We came to Silicon Valley to seek ways to launch and market Reporting Solution in the U.S. We hope that we will secure a foothold into the U.S. market through the K-Tech, and sell and support our products in cooperation with our U.S. partners.

KIT: Do you think you will be able to find a viable partner Were you able to meet buyers interested in buying your products

Chun: I had meetings with several companies. I found one of them very attractive. After I return to Korea, I will discuss the matter more concretely. Some purchase managers asked me to provide them with demo versions. I expect that they will use our demo versions and discuss business deals with our company.

KIT: I think that software with good after-sales support will be able to make a successful foray into the U.S. market.

Chun: It is natural for buyers to choose software with good after-sales support. This is why M2Soft is actively looking for potential partners. I think that our company needs experts who educate buyers on how to use our products.

KIT: Your company already entered overseas markets such as Japan. How do you manage these overseas markets Chun: We established a joint venture with a local company in Japan. Now, 15 employees are working for the joint venture. In other regions such as China and Southeast Asia, we are also looking for partners who can set up joint ventures with our company.

KIT: Do you think Korean software companies can satisfy the demand of the U.S. market

Chun: Sure. The Japanese market already recognized the technological prowess of M2Soft.

KIT: It is likely that K-Tech will be held every year. Will you continue to take part in the K-Tech in the future

Chun: We will actively take part in events held by KOTRA including the K-Tech so that we will be able to grasp trends in overseas markets and listen to the voices of foreign buyers. We will expand our business into overseas markets by developing outstanding products.
