SEOUL, KOREA – Korea Software Enterprise Association held ‘Localization of SW Solution Day’ in Seoul on December 5th. During the event, Korean SW companies presented new software technologies and best practices in public and financial areas. Sooyong Park, the president of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) said that, “NIPA is now formulating a supporting plan for the software industry. This will help deal with difficulties software companies face throughout the process of developing software in terms of manpower and R&D. On top of this, we will work on expanding the usage of software into diverse industries. For the expansion of the domestic software market, we are reviewing plans to increase the localization of software in the public market.” NIPA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Knowledge and Economy is planning to set up systematic supporting plans including releasing relevant indexes.
