SEOUL, KOREA –The layout for Seoul Motor Show”has been determined.

100% of participants are confirmed to join The 9th Seoul Motor Show and the layout for the show has been determined.

The Seoul Motor Show”to be held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do from March 29 to April 7 will take place at both KINTEX Hall 1 and Hall 2, marking the biggest-scale(102,431㎡) event in history. The after-market special section will be set aside, where complete cars and auto parts will be for sale and maintenance and tuning service will be provided.

Especially, imported car companies are expected to play a leading role at the upcoming motor show as the exhibition space for imported cars is to be extended with KINTEX Hall 2 allowing for more space of exhibition. The space extension will help ease long-standing concerns of those participating companies which have been offered relatively small exhibition space until now, due to the lack of space.

A total of 210 companies from 12 countries including imported car firms which have made inroads into Korea’s auto market are among the participants of the 䶝Seoul Motor Show.”Domestic cars made by Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, GM Korea, Renault Samsung Motors, Ssangyong Motors will be on display at this biannual show. Visitors also will get an opportunity  to see a wide selection of auto parts manufactured by Hyundai Mobis, Mando, Halla Climate Control Corp., Samchuly, Bullsone. Both KINTEX Hall 1 and 2 will be occupied by domestic and imported cars, while auto parts will use only KINTEX Hall 1.

It is Hyundai Motors that has the glory of getting the biggest exhibition space (5,300㎡). The company secured one fourth of the KINTEX Hall 2, 1,200㎡ bigger than the previous one at the 2011 show. Meanwhile, it is KIA Motors that secured the biggest space of the KINTEX Hall 1 (3,600㎡), followed by Renault Samsung Motors (2,033 ㎡) and Ssangyong Motors (2,000㎡). The total exhibition space secured by domestic car companies comes to 18,033㎡.

As big or bigger exhibition space for imported cars than for domestic cars has been secured as well, with the space for Toyota·Lexus covering 3,000 ㎡, Mercedes Benz 2,500 ㎡, BMW/MINI 2,300 ㎡, Volkswagen 2,000 ㎡, and Ford 2,000 ㎡, respectively.  Especially, the space for Mercedes Benz and BMW/MINI has been extended almost twice as big as last year, and it is the first time for Maserati to participate in the international motor show.

There will also be many events, including promotion events using the characters of “Car”, a Walt Disney cartoon, and the launching of “Hot Wheels”model cars by Mattel Korea, which are expected to attract many children visiting the show.

Under the slogan of “With Nature, for the People”, the 2013 Seoul Motor Show is due to be held starting from March 29 to April 7, 2013. The 2011 Seoul Motor Show was attended by 139 companies from eight countries, 11,749 buyers from 40 countries, and 1,005,460 visitors.

The organizing committee for the 2013 Seoul Motor Show is expecting the upcoming show to attract 1,200,000 visitors from all around the world.
