Before starting a construction work, it is imperative to inspect the ground and pile to make sure that the site is appropriate for certain use of construction.
Furthermore, an inspection is also required after completing a construction work to ensure that such construction has been properly made and safe to use for its objective. Misung C&S Inspection Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “MCSCO”) is one of the designated inspection company in Korea.
MCSCO was found in 1994 and soon designated by the Ministry of Construction & Transportation as one of the professional indexed institutes of the exact safety diagnosis in Korea. The company also has a product named PIT that can measure pile existence and defects, pile shape and length, and concrete strength and thickness. This product is usually used prior to completing the structures to determine the condition of tunnel, thickness of concrete lining and empty walls. Finally, PST, parallel seismic tester, is used in elementary analysis that usually cannot be determined because of surrounding conditions, such as excavation, and it has capability of testing pile existence and embedded depth and defects of completed structures.
