Korea's terrestrial DMB has succeeded in launching into the Indian market. This project has been initiated by an American company ABSI in cooperation with Korea's devices and system solution providers. Also, the Ministry of Information and Communication has given support to reaching this agreement of "MoTV India" consortium. On May 24, John Shin, president of ABSi Korea, said, "ABSi has made an agreement with Indian local companies including Indian National Broadcasting on organizing a "MoTV India" consortium, which plans to provide a terrestrial DMB service for the Delhi region beginning next year." Meanwhile, the high-ranking official of MoTV said, "MoTV consortium, which is led by ABSi, is composed of four companies including Indian National Broadcasting and two contents providers," he also added, "Next year at the time of full-time broadcasting service, another mobile communication provider is to join this consortium." The consortium plans to conduct a test broadcasting in coming October, and the broadcasting devices and systems necessary for the establishment of DMB are to be provided by Korean companies. For this purpose, ABSi has made a partnership agreement with Korean companies of Pixtree and SM CNS.
