LAS VEGAS, USA – Samsung TV swept major awards at the world’s largest consumer electronics fair CES 2013 now held in Las Vegas. According to Samsung Electronics on January 11, its curved OLED TV, 110-inch UHD TV and premium smart TV F8000 series received critical acclaim there, winning a variety of TV awards.
A US IT magazine CNET picked Samsung’s 85-inch UHD TV (UN85S9) as the best product in the Best of CES 2013 TV category.
CNET said, “Although many 4K TVs made debuts this year here and there, Samsung’s 85-inch UHD TV has no problem even without 4K contents. In addition, it has a unique frame design that looks like a work of art.”
The model was also given awards by other famous technology media, including HD Guru, PC World, and Techno Buffalo.
Samsung’s Curved OLED TV was named the “CES 2013 Best and New TV” by another IT magazine Electronic House which said it as “the most cool and attraction-garnering TV.”

삼성 TV, CES서 호평…주요 어워드 휩쓸어
11일 삼성전자와 관련업계에 따르면 곡선형(커브드) OLED TV를 비롯해 110형 UHD TV, 프리미엄 스마트TV F8000시리즈 등이 호평을 받으며 각종 TV 어워드를 수상했다.
미국의 IT전문매체 씨넷은 삼성전자의 85형 UHD TV(UN85S9)를 '베스트 오브 CES 2013' TV부문의 최고 제품으로 선정했다.
씨넷은 "올해 4K TV가 여기저기 많이 등장했지만 삼성전자의 85형 UHD TV는 4K 콘텐츠가 없어도 걱정할 필요가 없다"며 "어디에서도 본 적 없는 예술품과 같은 독특한 프레임 디자인을 선보인다"고 호평했다.
이 제품은 'HD구루', '피씨 월드, '테크노 버팔로' 등의 매체가 주는 상도 수상했다.
또 다른 IT전문매체 일렉트로닉 하우스는 곡선형 OLED TV를 'CES 2013 베스트 및 새로운 TV'로 선정했다. 이 매체는 "가장 쿨하고 주목할 만하며 갖고 싶은 새로운 TV"라고 평가했다.
삼성전자 스마트 허브와 2013년형 스마트TV F8000시리즈도 '파퓰러 메카닉스', '스터프', '우버기즈모' 등의 매체로부터 '에디터스 초이스', '베스트 오브 CES'를 받았다.
