LAS VEGAS, USA – Seven Incheon ICT companies supported by the Incheon IT Promotion Agency (IITPA) accomplished a great deal at the 2013 International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas from January 8 to 11. CES is the world’s largest technology-related show, where over 3,000 ICT companies participate to unveil their new technologies and services, and visitors can witness the latest trends in consumer electronics at a glance. This year, Samsung and LG boasted their latest products including curved OLED TV, 3DTV, and smartphone for business (smart work), demonstrating the stature of Korean ICT in the global market.
Amid the global economic slowdown, the companies selected by the IITPA surprisingly amassed USD 12 million during buyers’ meeting and won contracts of USD 345,000 on the scene. INMOK ((www.inmok.co.kr), which unveiled eco-friendly smart phone cases, gained a foothold in the global market through over 150 buyer’s meetings. VIVA KOREA (www.vivako.com), a company specializing in CCTV cameras, had successful meetings for technical cooperation with Russian companies. Returning to Korea, the company continued to discuss detailed business plans for sharing technologies and products, and is planning to extend its business into the Russian market.
El Lighting (www.eilighting.com), which unveiled LED tubes and LED flat lamps, had a positive discussion on selling its products on Amazon and ebay. Chois Technology (www.choistec.com) and PPYPLE (www.ppyple.com) won contracts worth USD 345,000 on the spot, demonstrating the ICT technical competitiveness of the Incheon companies in the global market.
IITPA expects continual export results from follow-up consultations, and plans to put more efforts towards showcasing the increasing technical competence of the Incheon companies in the overseas market.
