MIC announced a massive IT-based convergence parts/material-nurturing plan that includes intensive nurturing of the IT-NT-BT convergence field's parts/material industry. MIC officials involved in this project said that this plan is intended to forge a strategy to be able to spearhead the future's IT convergence technology market. MIC is planning to invest 480.2 billion won (around $500 million) in those areas from this year by 2015 to establish a pre-circulation development structure in which the convergence parts/material industry can get a head start in the future technology in which BT and NT are converged, with priority given to IT technology.
