SEOUL, KOREA - “Archeage,” an online MMORPG game, is making forays into the Russian game market. XL Games, the developer of Archeage, announced that it has signed a publishing contract with Russia’s Mail.ru to launch the game in Russia.After localizing Archeage, Mail.ru plans to offer the game service in 14 countries, including Russia and CIS countries. Mail.ru is the largest online game company in Russia engaged in free mail services, instant messengers, and ICQ. Mail.ru is now offering 34 MMO games, while running more than 30 game-related social networking sites.
After completing an open beta service, launched on January 2, 2013, XL Games has launched an official Archeage service in Korea from January 16. XL Games had previously announced the signing of publishing contracts in Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao.
