SEOUL, KOREA - Kia Motors announced on January 27 that it held a signing ceremony to extend its sponsorship of the Australian Open Tennis Championships. The signing ceremony was held on January 25 at the media conference room inside the Australian Melbourne Park.

Through the extension of the sponsorship, Kia Motors will participate in the Australian Open as an official sponsor until 2018. With this agreement, Kia Motors will become a sponsor of the Australian Open for 17 years starting from 2002, making it the longest sponsor in the history of the Australian Open.

A Kia official said, “The passion and dynamics appearing on the tennis court is the value that our brand is pursuing to achieve. We hope Kia Motors and the Australian Open to be positioned well in the hearts of the tennis fans around the world.”
