SEOUL, KOREA - Pantech announced its plan to release a full HD LTE smartphone model for the first time in Korea. The company announced on January 29 that it will launch the sales of the nation’s first 6-inch-class full HD smartphone “Vega No. 6 (IM-A860) from February 2013. The Vega No. 6 will come in four months after Pantech released the Vega R3 in September 2012.

The Vega No. 6 will be sold at 849,000 won through the nation’s three major telecom companies. Considering that the prices of existing smartphones are estimated at around 1 million won, the price of Vega No. 6 is about 150,000 won lower than them.
With a 5.9-inch large screen, the Vega No. 6 full HD model allows users to enjoy full HD contents. The model features the combination of the natural IPS Pro Display with full HD.
The Vega No. 6 is mounted with a Sony camera. In the front, it has a full HD camera capable of taking 30 photos within a second. On its back is mounted with a DSLR-class 1.3-megapixel camera.
The Vega No. 6 is also primed with a 3130mAh battery and an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. Coming in two colors—white and black, the Vega No. 6 has a 9.9mm thickness, thicker than iPhone 5 (7.6mm), LG Optimus G (8.45mm), Samsung Galaxy S3 (9mm), and Galaxy Note 2 (9.4mm).
