SEOUL, KOREA - Brainz Square, the enterprise resource planning and security solution developer, said on January 28 that it would introduce a new USB-based solution to protect personal information from unauthorized use. The Windows 8-compatible "SecuDrive Sanitizer Portable" can erase all data stored in the hard disk drive in a way data recovery is entirely impossible at the time of disuse.

In compliance with the data deletion standards set by the U.S. Department of Defense, the USB stick-shaped portable device permanently destroys data so that sensitive personal or corporate data would not be leaked out after scrapping.
Until now, most data deletion solutions have relied on separating hard disks from the main computer and connecting them to a standalone data deletion device.
Alternatively, the task of deleting data had to be performed in the DOS mode, with a separate CD for rebooting. Either way, it is an overwhelmingly time-consuming job for computer novices.
The novice-friendly SecuDrive Sanitizer does away with the need for a booting CD and instead makes it much simpler by inserting the device into a USB slot of the laptop or the desktop computer. The suggested retail price of the Sanitizer is 792,000 won and it is available online on Open Market.
