SEOUL,KOREA – Rating highly Korean IT companies’ technology, knowhow and ways to manage their partners, the Chinese IT industry welcomed cooperation with Korean companies in both software and hardware sectors. At the conference titled “2013 Outlook on China’s IT Market,” held on January 31 by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Chinese IT experts expressed their willingness to join forces with Korean IT companies in a wide spectrum of IT sectors including SNS, the Internet, mobile devices, parts, software and system integration (SI). A Chinese IT expert mentioned, “Kakao Talk and LINE are fast growing in popularity in China. LINE’s entry to the Chinese market was a great example of a successful Korea-China business tie-up.”
As for the ongoing China Three-network Convergence Project, China has also sought collaboration with Korea that excels in broadband construction and management systems. The head of China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID) said, “Korean companies have already accumulated expertise in R&D, production methods, corporate management and new market entry. Samsung and LG Electronics produce smart devices and numerous companies have built their strengths in content production.”
In the software sector, there were growing expectations on China’s adoption of Korean manufacturing solutions like ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
