SEOUL, KOREA – On Monday, KT Telecop, a Korean security service provider, announced that it would launch a affordably priced home security service called “Telecop HomeGuard,” which is available at about US$ 10 per month.
Telecop HomeGuard, a specialized service especially for single-person households like women living alone and dual-earner families, features real-time detection of break-in attempts, break-in alarm responses and emergency personnel dispatch services.
This is how it works: upon detecting any signs of forced entry attempts, wireless sendors attached to doors and windows will trigger voice warnings and a siren and send Telecop HomeGuard users text messages informing them of break-in attempts.
In addition, making a request for emergency security personnel dispatch services are only a button press away. The cost of using this service is free for the first month. After the first month of free service, an extra charge is imposed on each use of the personnel dispatch service.
All of the Telecop HomeGuard users will be provided with a wireless remote control, emergency bells, magnetic sensors and infrared motion detectors; additional IP cameras and security sensors are also available upon request.
