SEOUL, KOREA - LG Electronics announced on February 5 that it has launched a brand-new washing machine using steam technology in the United States. The steam feature has thus far been used for drum washing machines only.
The newly-released washing machine model uses a high-temperature steam to increase the inner temperature of the laundry bucket, aimed at effectively dissolving protein materials on clothes.
This technology helps remove allergy-creating dust mites, bacteria, and pollen from clothes or beddings. The steam-washing technology acquired the "asthma allergy prevention" certification from the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology.
This cutting-edge washing machine is also mounted with LG's unique smart home electronics technology "Smart ThinkQ" that ensures self-diagnosis of defects.
